Ola Electric, India’s leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has started delivering its much-anticipated S1 Gen 3 scooters across the country. The company had initially planned to begin deliveries in February 2024, but due to unforeseen delays, the timeline was pushed. With prices ranging from Rs 79,999 to Rs 1.70 lakh (ex-showroom), the S1 Gen 3 series comes with multiple battery and motor options, offering customers enhanced range, performance, and safety features.

The S1 Gen 3 series includes four models: S1 Pro+, S1 Pro, S1X+, and S1X, all of which are built on Ola Electric’s new Gen 3 platform. This platform boasts an upgraded mid-drive motor, chain drive system, and an integrated Motor Control Unit (MCU), improving efficiency and power output. The company claims that the Gen 3 platform increases peak power by 20%, enhances energy recovery by 20%, and reduces costs by 11% compared to its predecessor.

With a 13 kW electric motor, the top-end S1 Pro+ Gen 3 accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in just 2.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 120 km/h. The scooters also feature dual ABS and brake-by-wire technology, setting a new industry standard for safety.

Ola Electric, founded by Bhavish Aggarwal, has revolutionized India’s EV sector with its focus on affordability and innovation. The company continues to disrupt the electric mobility market with its cutting-edge technology, sustainable solutions, and aggressive expansion plans.
